We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Systems Engineer to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise in the design and analysis of hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead teams on assigned tasks, ensuring adherence to project delivery requirements and schedule.
- Perform design and analysis of hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems, providing technical guidance and mentorship to engineers at lower grade levels.
- Support Engineering Management with timely updates on engineering progress, ensuring adherence to company quality program.
- Prepare and review design documents, including design calculations, design requirements, assessments, technical specifications, drawings, bill of materials, and system code classification.
- Perform walkdowns, attend site visits, and meetings as required, ensuring applicable code, standards, and regulatory requirements are met.
- Provide support for the preparation of engineering proposals, including competitive pay, flexible benefits, an employee share plan, and a defined contribution pension plan.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario.
- Engineering degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or Engineering Science.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in process-system design/analysis, preferably providing design solutions for CANDU nuclear power plants or BWR/PWR markets.
- Experience performing work to nuclear power plants procedures and practices, and qualifications for nuclear power plants engineering activities is an asset.
- Strong technical knowledge of all aspects encompassing CANDU nuclear processes, analyses, equipment, and control.
- Knowledge of analytical tools used for mechanical and process design, including nuclear Codes and Standards, such as CSA N285.1 codes and other nuclear-power-plant applicable standards or regulatory guides related to permanent plant components, pressure boundary equipment, and/or reactor systems.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Site experience in construction, or commissioning of plant mechanical systems for nuclear or other heavy industries is an asset.
