We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Process Systems for the Balance of Plant to enhance our engineering division.
Position Location: Mississauga, ON.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be a proactive individual capable of independent work and leading teams on tasks related to Process System design for the Balance of Nuclear Steam Plant. Responsibilities include:
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating engineering tasks.
- Providing mentorship and technical direction to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Reviewing and coordinating the work of engineering teams.
- Delivering design solutions and evaluations for new and modified process systems and components.
- Conducting thermal hydraulic assessments on intricate systems.
- Performing calculations for equipment sizing, including vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, pumps, and valves.
- Preparing design documentation for Nuclear Power Plants, such as Design Calculations, Technical Specifications, and System Code Classifications.
- Creating comprehensive Engineering packages.
- Conducting site visits and participating in relevant meetings.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the development of Engineering proposals.
- Adhering to the company's quality assurance protocols.
- Meeting project delivery timelines and requirements.
- Providing updates on engineering progress to management.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.
- Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear Engineering, or Engineering Science from an accredited institution.
- At least 10 years of experience in Process System design within the Canadian nuclear sector, focusing on Balance of Nuclear Steam Plant and Balance of Plant systems.
- Experience in conducting heat balance and thermal hydraulic evaluations in nuclear power plant steam cycles.
- Familiarity with nuclear Codes and Standards, including CSA N285.0 and ASME Section III.
- Proficiency in analytical tools for mechanical and process design, such as ANSYS, Mathcad, Flowmaster, NUCIRC, CATHENA, or similar.
- Experience with nuclear power plant procedures and practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Eligibility for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
- Excellent communication and technical writing abilities.
