Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at PeopleToGo. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Deployment and Maintenance
    • Perform intermediate hardware deployment activities, including installations, moves, adds, and changes, for PCs, laptops, printers, and other devices.
    • Handle hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other deployment-related activities.
  • Software Installation and Support
    • Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications and systems.
    • Provide technical support for software-related issues.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting
    • Perform deskside support services, including hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
    • Provide 1st level technical support to clients.
  • Network and Internetworking Support
    • Perform basic LAN and internetworking-related activities.
    • Configure and troubleshoot network devices and systems.
  • Call Management and Communication
    • Respond to and update calls from the National Dispatch/Call Management Center.
    • Communicate with clients to diagnose problems, establish ETAs, and determine parts requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • At least 1-2 years of field service experience in hardware deployment and maintenance.
    • At least 1-2 years of deskside support experience.
  • Skills and Certifications
    • Strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills.
    • A+ certification.
    • Other vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, and/or OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP).
  • Personal Qualities
    • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Exceptional customer service skills.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
    • Availability to work flexible schedules.
Education

A minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program.
