Safety Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Safety Supervisor to join our team at Core-Mark Canada. This is a full-time position based in Canada, offering a competitive salary of $65,000-$80,000 per year, with potential annual bonuses.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and administering environmental, fleet safety, and occupational health and safety programs to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. They will also maintain a safe and secure working environment, including facility security and disaster preparedness planning. Additionally, they will manage claims related to property damage, workers' compensation, auto liability, physical damage, and products/general liability.
- In collaboration with operations leaders, administer Core-Mark's Safety Program at the Opco.
- Ensure adherence to the company's Health and Safety processes and procedures, as well as local and provincial Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
- Maintain written health and safety strategies, programs, policies, and procedures, including evacuation plans, fire plans, WHMIS, etc.
- Assist in coordinating and delivering health and safety training and communication programs.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with 2 years of higher education.
- 1-3 years administrative experience with strong administrative and organization skills; detail-oriented.
- Intermediate-level experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to implement Safety plans and conduct Safety Training.
- Ability to analyze and critically evaluate situations.
- Ability to communicate verbally and/or through written communication with all levels of personnel within the Company.
Please note that certification as a Joint Health & Safety Worker Member (Level 1 & 2) and knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are assets for this role.
