Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Business Analytics Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank.

About the Role

This is a strategic role that will focus on leading projects that contribute to Global Procurement Services' priorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project implementation, business as usual activities, and collaborating with product managers on program campaigns.

The ideal candidate must have advanced PowerPoint skills, be an effective communicator, and possess strong project management skills. They should also be sophisticated with Excel and comfortable with data-driven storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects that align with Global Procurement Services' strategic priorities
  • Collaborate with product managers on program campaigns and develop SharePoint content for internal and external audiences
  • Leverage procurement practice knowledge to identify opportunities for Supplier/Client Programs
  • Develop project strategies and business cases to obtain buy-in from GPS leadership
  • Monitor and track project progress, manage changes to the project scope and schedule
  • Attend leadership team meetings to provide project updates and develop detailed project plans
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A good understanding of procurement practices and business objectives
  • Advanced PPT skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Advanced technical skills in various data analytics tools, such as Excel and PowerBI
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of core banking products
  • A Bachelor's degree in management, finance, or a related field; a Master's degree in business or a related field is preferred
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
