Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Management Supervisor to join our team at DP World Canada. As an integral part of our Engineering & Maintenance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective capacity utilization, reliability, and life cycle asset management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement policies for the management of inventory, materials, rotables, repairables, free for issue, and supplies.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Determine inventory ordering parameters and coordinate materials receipt, issue, storage, and shipment to ensure materials availability to support maintenance activities.
  • Leadership and Support: Provide direction, leadership, and support to the department to ensure inventory functions are carried out to a high standard, including cycle/periodic inventory counts, disposal of obsolete items, new assets setup, and detailed reporting.
  • Waste Management: Manage the site's waste management program.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and analyze Engineering & Maintenance budgets and quarterly reforecasts, including monthly cost, variance, and analysis reports.
  • Asset Registration: Ensure all assets are registered, inspected, and/or certified and administer the record management thereof, including warranty information and processing warranty claims.
  • Training and Development: Oversee the development and delivery of programs that deliver ongoing system and process training, ensuring standardized asset management processes across the department.
  • Inventory Tracking: Plan and execute inventory counts and track and manage reorders for inventory items.
  • Inventory Management: Manage new and discontinued inventory parts to support the business and maintain min/max levels.
  • Purchasing: Purchase necessary parts, equipment, services, and documentation to support maintenance PM and CM-related work.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in Maintenance and Inventory Management or a related field, augmented by previous supervisory experience gained in a unionized environment.
  • Skills: Demonstrated experience developing cost tracking tools and reports, proficiency with MS Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, such as Maximo, proficiency in spreadsheets and Power BI, excellent interpersonal skills, outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, and exceptional time management, organization, and planning skills.
  • Language: Fluent in English.
  • Work Experience: Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries.
