Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality patient care in an acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide holistic, patient-centered care to patients with complex care needs.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to create a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment and address issues in a productive and respectful manner.
  • Exercise sound professional judgment and use best practice guidelines to contribute to safe and quality care.
Requirements:
  • Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 1-year recent nursing experience working as a Registered Practical Nurse in an acute care setting within the past 3 years.
  • Proven clinical experience with patient-focused care, including strong patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and documentation skills.
  • Successfully completed the IV Therapy Course with current competency.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recent completion of a physical assessment course.
  • Member of the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO) preferred.
  • Experience with starting and maintaining IV Therapy.
  • Wound Care experience an asset.
  • Ambulatory clinic experience is an asset.
