Spectrum Society for Community Living seeks a compassionate and creative individual to support T, a woman living in Downtown Vancouver. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing her life by engaging in various activities such as art-making, writing, music listening, and dancing.
A typical evening with T involves assisting her with dinner preparation, supporting her creative pursuits, and developing a trusting relationship. You may also be required to provide minor support with personal care tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation and personal care
- Engage T in creative activities, such as art-making, writing, and music listening
- Develop and maintain a trusting relationship with T
Location and Work Schedule:
Downtown Vancouver, with a specific focus on Gastown area
Tuesday evenings, 5PM - 10PM
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate and engage individuals with diverse needs.
You should also have basic computer proficiency, including email and internet usage.
Salary and Benefits:
As a Community Support Worker, you can expect a competitive hourly rate of $23.50-$25.75 per hour.
