Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Physiotherapist to join our Rehabilitation & Supportive Care portfolio. As a member of our team, you will assess, diagnose and treat patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations or disabilities.
Your holistic treatment programs will be developed using exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical and hydrotherapy techniques to assist patients in regaining and/or maintaining an optimal level of function.
You will educate and communicate with other healthcare disciplines, the general public, family members and caregivers regarding health promotion, physiotherapy treatment and patient management.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
- Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (provincial licensing body)
- Computer skills (statistics input, word processing, Outlook)
- Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS)
- Previous experience in inpatient acute care considered an asset
- Previous experience in orthopedics, burns and/or plastics considered an asset
- Annual Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training and certification (WHMIS)
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
$33.97-$42.89 per hour
