About the Opportunity

The Physiotherapist plays a crucial role in our clinical team, working collaboratively to achieve team goals and objectives. As a key member of our rehabilitation and supportive care services portfolio, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.

As a physiotherapist with Nova Scotia Health Authority, you will provide supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students, as well as supervision of physiotherapy assistants and aides. You may be required to provide services throughout our Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio, including work on weekends in various areas of the hospital.

About You
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (provincial licensing body)
  • Computer skills, including statistics input, word processing, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Annual Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training and certification (WHMIS)
  • Competencies in other languages are an asset, with French preferred

Hours
  • This is a long-term assignment for a full-time position, with 75 hours bi-weekly
  • The assignment duration is approximately 12 months
  • This position works shifts over a 6-day per week schedule, including weekends and holidays
Compensation and Incentives

The hourly rate for this position is $33.97-$42.89. Additionally, successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
