About the Opportunity

The Physiotherapist reports to the Program Manager and collaborates with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives. The physiotherapist assesses diagnoses and treats patients in a tertiary care setting who present with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations or disabilities. The physiotherapist educates and communicates with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers with regard to health promotion, physiotherapy treatment and pain management.

About You

We are seeking a qualified physiotherapist with a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or acceptable equivalent from a recognized school of Physiotherapy. The ideal candidate will have current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Hours and Compensation

This is a long assignment, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate will work shifts over a 7 day per week schedule, including weekends and holidays. The hourly rate is $33.97 - $42.89. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
