About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Events Coordinator to join our team at Home Hardware Stores Limited. As an Events Coordinator, you will play a critical role in planning and executing various events, including conferences, dealer meetings, and supplier partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Event Specialist with event planning and execution, including venue management, vendor coordination, and logistics.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to prepare event materials, including quotes, RFPs, and financial estimates.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including event registration, attendee data, and post-event analysis.
  • Process approved invoices and maintain financial documents, including estimates and supporting documents.
  • Act as the onsite contact for events, coordinating deliveries, vendors, and event setup.
  • Take and distribute meeting minutes for assigned events.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Event or Hospitality Management, with three to five years of event planning experience.
  • Experience with planning events independently, including golf tournaments, annual general meetings, and galas/award shows.
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to adjust communication style to various levels of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual (French) is an asset.
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or graphics creation is an asset.
