Clinical Instructor and Radiologic Technologist in Vancouver

Vancouver Coastal Health is a world-class innovator in medical care, research, and teaching, delivering service to over one million BC residents. As a Clinical Instructor and Radiologic Technologist, you will be part of the General Radiology team at Vancouver General Hospital, working in a team-based environment and coordinating training activities for radiologic technology students and staff within a designated modality in Medical Imaging.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of theory and practice for the designated medical imaging modality, including applicable procedures and processes, and will have the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, medical personnel, other healthcare staff, and students. They will also have the ability to develop training manuals, instructional material, examinations, and assignments, and to teach and train staff and students.
This is a regular part-time position with 0.50 FTE, approximately 18.75 hours per week, and a salary range of $38.07 - $47.52 per hour, based on experience. The position is expected to start in January 2025, and the hours of work, including days off and work area, may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' recent, related clinical experience in the designated medical imaging modality, including one year of experience in a supervisory or teaching capacity. They will also have certification with the CAMRT and a demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, problem-solve, and work independently and in collaboration with others.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
