Job Title: NAMER Customer Engineer Representative I

Location: Montreal/Quebec Region

You Are:

A skilled communicator who excels at building strong relationships with customers, resolving problems proactively, and ensuring customers have what they need when they need it. You're also proficient in working with products such as ATMs, PCs, and POS systems.

Sound familiar and exciting? You'll thrive in this entry-level role as an NCR Customer Engineer Representative I (CE I). In this position, you'll represent the NCR Voyix brand, troubleshoot at a basic module level, organize and plan your time effectively, and know when and who to turn to for support. When challenges arise, you'll apply your manual skills to resolve technical issues.

What makes this role more compelling? Knowing that your work contributes to making life easier for people worldwide, through over 550 million transactions daily. Our clients include restaurants, shops, banks, and airports, who come to us for software, hardware, and services. Your skills ensure we can assist them in the ways they need it most.

You Can Expect To:

  • Be responsible for basic installation, maintenance, and repairs on equipment within an assigned territory, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Utilize your manual skills to perform work on products like ATMs, POS systems, kiosks, single pocket proof encoders, and workstations.
  • Assist in site preparation, including installation of cable, staging of equipment, and minor testing of equipment.
  • Guard all NCR assets used in customer service delivery, maintaining stellar records and an appropriate parts inventory.
  • Capture customer information for invoicing and stay in contact to provide the best possible service.

People Describe You As:

  • A problem-solver who anticipates and resolves issues before they start. You're a superstar at performing periodic preventative maintenance.
  • Driven to tackle any situation, yet confident enough to ask for help when needed. You'll always pull in the right associate, team member, or territory manager for support.
  • A stickler for record-keeping, logging customer calls and activity, and tracking expenses incurred in service delivery.

You Have:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid provincial license and a clean driver's record.
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency – company sponsorship is not available.
  • A valid passport for US training.
  • Up to a year of related experience, with previous experience in NCR or similar equipment a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Windows XP, and Windows 2000.
  • Amazing flexibility and a positive attitude, with a willingness to work nights, weekends, overtime, flex shifts, and be on call to keep customers happy.
  • Your team in mind, even when working solo.
  • A strong back, as this role requires prolonged travel, rotating shifts, carrying and lifting tools and parts weighing up to 50 lbs., and bending, squatting, walking, standing, and/or sitting for prolonged periods.

P.S.

  • Before taking this position, you'll need to complete NCR-specific certification based on business/territory needs and assigned LOBs as determined by a manager.
