Job Summary

This role provides administrative support to the Development, Projects, and Right-of-Way Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clerical and secretarial services to all staff within the division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide reception and telephone support to staff
  • Prepare and type various reports and correspondence
  • Take minutes and update spreadsheets
  • Enter data for accounts payable and update computerized systems
  • Coordinate meetings and maintain office equipment
  • Redirect and maintain incoming and outgoing mail/courier correspondence
  • Deliver and pick up corporate documents/files at other City sites
  • Monitor and order supplies
  • Perform Absence Coordinator duties and maintain the Development, Projects, and Right-of-Way file system
  • Perform Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporation's Health and Safety Program
Requirements
  • Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations as required
  • Minimum 50 wpm typing
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative and ability to work with minimal direction
Working Conditions

This is a sedentary level of work.
