About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team at Vancouver Coastal Health. As a Psychiatrist with our organization, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing comprehensive clinical services to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with psychiatric disorders
  • Participate in academic activities and contribute to the education and training of medical students and residents
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in psychiatry
Requirements
  • Medical Degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
  • Specialist qualifications in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Eligibility for a clinical faculty appointment with the UBC Faculty of Medicine
  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary mental health team
  • Excellent knowledge of community resources and a commitment to participating in new methods of health improvement and care delivery
