Academic Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team at Vancouver Coastal Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary mental health team, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing state-of-the-art treatment for patients with serious psychiatric disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and diagnose patients with complex mental health needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Provide expert psychiatric care and consultation to patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Participate in academic activities, including teaching and research, to advance the field of psychiatry
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health programs and services
- Eligibility for a clinical faculty appointment with the UBC Faculty of Medicine
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment
- Strong commitment to academic psychiatry and a willingness to participate in research and education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
