Lead Child Development Educator

At Montessori Happy Minds, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Child Development Educator to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position that offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of educators in the development and implementation of child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children aged 0-6 years old.
You will assess children's developmental needs and create tailored learning plans to support their growth. Additionally, you will supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and collaborate with other educators to maintain a safe and engaging environment for all children.
This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. If you are passionate about early childhood education and have experience working with young children, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children aged 0-6 years old;
- Assess children's developmental needs and create tailored learning plans;
- Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and provide guidance and support as needed;
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for all children, including organizing activities and ensuring the cleanliness of play areas;
- Collaborate with other educators to ensure consistency in programming and best practices;
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share children's progress and address any concerns;
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in early childhood education;
- Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field;
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in an early childhood setting, preferably in a leadership role;
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others;
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
- Ability to engage children in activities and promote a love of learning;
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices;
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
