Construction Manager for Water and Civil Infrastructure Projects

About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to lead our water and civil infrastructure projects in Vancouver, B.C. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable construction company and take on new challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Lead a team of field personnel, including junior superintendents, to ensure project success.
- Mange site staffing, quality control, sub-trade coordination, project scheduling, field cost control, and safety.
- Determine method of construction, materials quantities, equipment, work schedule, and documentation of hours worked.
- Cordinate assigned work with different crafts, departments, and subcontractors.
- Maintain relationships with engineering, estimating, and planning teams to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Monitor compliance with company and site safety programs and documents, and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Hire, train, and monitor field personnel to ensure project success.
- Prepare and facilitate project meetings and assist project managers with resolution of outstanding claim items and warranty.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in construction, with a focus on mid-to-large scale structural concrete work.
- Experience in building concrete water retaining structures is essential.
- Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical installations is required.
- Direct experience handling various concrete forming systems, temporary works, and engineering applications.
- Proven track record of managing and coordinating field execution resources, teams of trades up to 100-150 crew count.
- A well-rounded understanding of Earthwork, Concrete, Process Mech, and Elec principles is essential.
- Experience managing project field execution of up to $25M projects.
- Clear comprehension of project scheduling and planning principles.
- Solutions-based attitude and ability to think critically.
Compensation:
$105,000 - $137,500 per annum, commensurate with education and experience.
