**Job Summary:**
Adecco Canada is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Halifax, NS. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) in all positions, reading and interpreting blueprints or welding process specifications, and working in a construction, maintenance/repair, and new fabrication environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
* Work in a construction, maintenance/repair, and new fabrication environment.
* Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) in all positions.
* Select appropriate weld filler materials.
* Operate manual or semi-automatic welding and flame-cutting equipment.
* Setup and maintain welding equipment.
* Handle and position equipment at work sites.
**Qualifications:**
* Eligible to work in Canada and have resided in Canada for 5 years.
* Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational education and Welder Trade Certification.
* Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications.
* WHMIS certification.
* Full trade flexibility is essential.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment Government Security Clearance/Background and Credit check.
* Must have full PPE and Fit Tested Respirator Mask.
* Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and setting up parts/equipment weighing 50 lbs or more.
* Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
* Willingness to work extended hours and overtime as needed.
* Daily commute to work is required.
