Welder Specialist

Adecco Canada is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Halifax, NS. This long-term contract offers competitive pay and benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
- Work in a construction, maintenance/repair, and new fabrication environment.
- Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) in all positions.
- Select appropriate weld filler materials.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding and flame-cutting equipment.
- Setup and maintain welding equipment.
- Handle and position equipment at work sites.
The estimated salary for this role is $43-$46 per hour, depending on the shift. Day Shift: $43.00 per hour, Night Shift: $46.00 per hour (includes $3.00 shift premium), Back Shift: $46.00 per hour (includes $3.00 shift premium).
Benefits- Living Out Allowance: $135/day worked
- Weekly Travel Allowance: $220 (for those 80 km away from location)
- One-time Travel Pay: $600
- Eligible to work in Canada and have resided in Canada for 5 years.
- Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational education and Welder Trade Certification.
- Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications.
- WHMIS certification.
- Full trade flexibility is essential.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Government Security Clearance/Background and Credit check.
- Must have full PPE and Fit Tested Respirator Mask.
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and setting up parts/equipment weighing 50 lbs or more.
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work extended hours and overtime as needed.
