Job Title: Liquor Store Manager

At Otter Co-op, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Liquor Store Manager to lead our team at our Angry Otter Liquor store in Coquitlam, BC. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing store operations, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operation and management of the liquor store, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage store inventory, merchandising, and visual displays to maximize sales and minimize waste.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
  • Monitor and maintain store appearance, including cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of equipment and fixtures.
  • Collaborate with the Area Manager and other store managers to achieve business objectives and share best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to ensure the store remains competitive and compliant.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in the liquor industry.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Valid Serving it Right Certificate and ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
