Insurance Industry Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Assistant to join our client, one of Canada's largest insurance and financial services companies.
OverviewThis is a hybrid role that offers the opportunity to work with a well-known insurance company and gain experience in the financial services industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to broker partners, delivering high-quality commitments, and fostering a collaborative environment.
Job DescriptionThe Underwriting Assistant will perform various tasks including data entry, serving broker partners' needs, and maintaining new business trackers.
Additionally, they will process new business binds, ensure proper documentation storage, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to multitask, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- Strong use of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Insurance experience (an asset)
- Familiarity with an office environment and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Adaptability and ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
As an Underwriting Assistant at Randstad Canada, you can expect:
- A competitive hourly rate of $22.87
- A 37.5 hour workweek, Monday to Friday
- A hybrid work arrangement, with 3 days remote and 2 days in the office
