Quality Documentation Support Co-op Student

At J.D. Irving, Limited, we are committed to providing exceptional quality products and services to our customers. As a Quality Documentation Support Co-op Student, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) document management system in SharePoint
  • Transition existing QMS documentation into new MS Office templates (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Review updated documentation with respective team members and make any necessary edits
  • Convert existing SOPs that are in MS Excel into MS Word or MS Form electronic documents
  • Develop new SOPs following established format
  • Submit documents through review and approval workflows and upload to SharePoint
  • Perform other general administrative duties as required

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Business Administration
  • Manufacturing or technical background or exposure is an asset
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Ability to develop knowledge of quality processes quickly. Previous experience with document management systems would be an asset
  • Writing and proofing skills
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision
  • Superb time management and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and takes initiative
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Collaborating with internal team members to get necessary documentation in place quickly
  • Expertise to interact directly with suppliers and service providers to obtain required documents in a timely manner
