Job Responsibilities

The Corporate Buyer will report to the Purchasing Supervisor for the Quebec, Maritime and North East America region and be responsible for various purchasing-related tasks.

  • Ensure purchasing procedures are followed and applied.
  • Research new sources of supply to reduce costs.
  • Negotiate purchasing conditions.
  • Prepare cost analysis reports.
  • Evaluate suppliers.
  • Communicate with other departments.
  • Issue and follow up purchase orders.
  • Manage and prioritize orders with suppliers.
  • Follow up on open orders and communicate with suppliers.
  • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers.
  • Analyze and consolidate divisional needs.
  • Implement procedures and performance indicators.

Requirements

  • DEC diploma.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a purchasing department within a manufacturing company.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English.
  • Quality-conscious overall.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Autonomous and resourceful.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (an asset).

Additional Information

  • Full-time (40h), permanent position.
