Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various purchasing-related tasks, ensuring that procedures are followed and applied, and maintaining relationships with existing suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency;
  • Research and evaluate new sources of supply to meet the company's needs;
  • Negotiate purchasing conditions and contracts with suppliers;
  • Prepare cost analysis reports and present findings to management;
  • Manage and prioritize orders placed with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality control;
  • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring excellent customer service and communication;
  • Analyze and consolidate divisional needs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements;
  • Implement procedures and performance indicators to measure purchasing performance.

Requirements

  • DEC diploma in a related field (e.g. business, supply chain management);
  • At least 5 years' experience in a purchasing department within a manufacturing company;
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English;
  • Quality-conscious overall, with a strong attention to detail;
  • Able to work under pressure, with excellent time management and organizational skills;
  • Autonomous and resourceful, with a strong ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing circumstances;
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (an asset).
