Job Title: Law Clerk

Brar Legal Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our team. As a Law Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team with administrative tasks, research, and court proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to our legal team, including scheduling court trials, arranging pre-trial conferences, and collecting and recording administrative fees.
  • Research and Record-Keeping: Conduct research on court files, records, and other legal documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Court Proceedings: Represent clients in small claims court and other lower court proceedings, and witness and certify the validity of signatures on documents.
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for this role, as you will be interacting with clients, court staff, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a legal or administrative role.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
