Job Title: Law Clerk

Bukhari Law Professional Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and organized Law Clerk to join our team. As a Law Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting our lawyers and staff in the administration of legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Support: Advise clients on legal proceedings, interview clients, witnesses, and other related parties, and explain rights and obligations to defendants.
  • Document Preparation: Assemble documentary evidence, draft contracts, prepare promissory notes, and draw up wills, mortgages, and other legal documents.
  • Court Administration: Establish work priorities for court staff, oversee maintenance of judicial court records, and perform civil marriages.
  • Support Services: Assist in preparing annual budgets, record court commencement, trial proceedings, and judgements, and draft legal correspondence.
  • Representation: Represent clients in small claims court and in other lower court proceedings, at tribunals, and before administrative bodies.

Requirements:

  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
