Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Self-Checkout Attendant to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Self-Checkout Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain a clean and organized self-service area, ensuring a safe and efficient shopping environment for customers.
  2. Provide education and support to customers on the correct use of self-service options, promoting a seamless shopping experience.
  3. Upsell and promote company-sponsored programs, such as credit card services and product protection initiatives, to enhance customer satisfaction.
  4. Monitor customer activity and provide assistance when needed, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  5. Respond to EAS alarms and complete the necessary documentation, demonstrating a commitment to security and compliance.
  6. Communicate effectively with the Customer Service Manager to resolve technical issues and maintain a smooth operation of the self-service area.
  7. Return Scan & Go scanners to their designated home after use, ensuring efficient inventory management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong commitment to customer service and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on customer service or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of self-service technology and its applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
