Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide assistance to customers processing transactions through the self-service area(s), ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience.
  • Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized self-service area, free of debris and foreign objects.
  • Product Knowledge: Educate customers on the correct and efficient use of self-service options, promoting company sponsor programs and services when applicable.
  • Technical Support: Troubleshoot technical issues with self-service equipment and contact the Customer Service Manager as needed.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on self-service transactions and intervene when necessary, explaining the reasons for the intervention while reassuring customers of the normal protocol.
  • Inventory Management: Return Scan & Go scanners to their designated home after use.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: Provide exceptional service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a clean and organized self-service area, ensuring a safe and efficient shopping environment.
  • Technical Aptitude: Troubleshoot technical issues with self-service equipment and provide assistance to customers as needed.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with customers and colleagues, providing clear and concise information.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous Retail Experience: Experience working in a retail environment, particularly in customer-facing roles.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with self-service equipment and technical troubleshooting.
