We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our land development infrastructure and water resources team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing projects that involve the management of stormwater runoff, flood control, and water quality improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrology, hydraulic modeling, and project management. You will work closely with our team of engineers, designers, and technicians to develop and implement projects that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply hydrological and hydraulic models to predict stormwater runoff and flooding
- Perform hydrology assessments and associated reporting to identify areas of concern and recommend solutions
- Design and implement stormwater management systems, including detention ponds, green infrastructure, and other best management practices
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate project results to clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective project delivery and implementation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in water resources engineering and project management
- P.Eng. registration in Ontario
- Experience with standard analysis programs, AutoCAD, PCSWMM, Visual Otthymo, Microsoft Office, and other associated software
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- A strong commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
