Storm Water Engineer

GEI is seeking aspiring professionals who can have a positive impact on GEI's land development infrastructure and water resources team. Candidates should be interested in working collaboratively with a talented team of design, management, and technical leaders. This position will contribute to GEI's Civil/Land Development engineering practice in any of our Ontario offices, including Markham, Barrie, Owen Sound, and Guelph. These offices provide services in a wide range of settings, with representative projects including land development and civil site design for residential, industrial, commercial, and municipal sites.
Responsibilities
- Experience with a variety of water resources projects within the land development industry
- Develop and apply hydrological and hydraulic models
- Perform hydrology assessments and associated reporting
- Conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering for water resources projects
- Preparation of technical memos, reports, construction plans and specifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Water Resources Engineering or directly related field from a recognized university
- 6+ years of water resources design and/or field experience
- P.Eng. is a requirement
- Experienced with standard analysis programs, AutoCAD, PCSWMM, Visual Otthymo, Microsoft office programs, and other associated programs is desired
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and high degree of motivation
- Experience with writing technical reports
