Water Resources Engineer

GEI is seeking aspiring professionals who have a positive impact on GEI's land development infrastructure and water resources team and are interested in working collaboratively with a talented team of design, management, and technical leaders. This position will support GEI's land development engineering practice in any of our Ontario offices, including Markham, Barrie, Collingwood, Owen Sound, and Guelph. These offices provide services in a wide range of settings, with representative projects including land development and civil site design for residential, industrial, commercial, and municipal sites.
Responsibilities
- Experience with a variety of water resources projects within the land development industry
- Develop and apply hydrological and hydraulic models
- Perform hydrology assessments and associated reporting
- Conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering for water resources projects
- Preparation of technical memos, reports, construction plans and specifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Water Resources Engineering or directly related field from a recognized university
- 6+ years of water resources design and/or field experience
- P.Eng. is a requirement
- Experienced with standard analysis programs, AutoCAD, PCSWMM, Visual Otthymo, Microsoft office programs, and other associated programs is desired
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and high degree of motivation
- Experience with writing technical reports
