Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Support Specialist to join our team at DSV. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about logistics and supply chain management.

About the Role

The primary responsibility of this role will be to handle all day-to-day operational elements of our customers' needs. This includes coordinating with internal stakeholders, communicating with external clients, and ensuring timely and accurate updates on customer movement of freight and information.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work independently to accomplish tasks within scope of job.
  • Effectively respond to internal stakeholders inquiries, resolve any conflicts or problems that might arise, and ensure all account correspondence is up to date.
  • Prepare and present quotes to both internal and external clients, maintain quotes in system, and update transportation management system and customer websites of real-time load locations.
  • Monitor carriers who are unresponsive, inform dispatchers and supervisor of escalated issues, and negotiate additional charges with carriers.
  • Complete performance reports for all carrier-related issues in a timely manner, notify potential issues to the appropriate parties, and communicate any modifications to Account Manager to update clients.
  • Built strong relationships with assigned carriers through communication and ongoing monitoring of on-time performance.
  • Perform other duties as required, such as maintaining confidentiality of client information and integrity of shared work files on network systems.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 1-2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or distribution.
  • A college diploma or university degree in business, logistics, or international trade (preferable).
  • CIFFA certificate or dangerous goods certification (asset).
  • Good command of English skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening, service-oriented, and able to resolve customer grievances.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, building professional relationships internally and externally, and ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, act as a role model for DSV values and adhere to the Code of Conduct.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
