We are seeking a part-time Elementary Math Teacher/Tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position that requires working with students in a learning centre setting. As an Elementary Math Teacher/Tutor, you will be responsible for teaching and guiding students in their math skills, using our proprietary methodologies and philosophies.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach and guide students in their math skills, using our proprietary methodologies and philosophies
  • Work with students in a one-on-one or small group setting
  • Fill in post-lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates
  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth-year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Strong knowledge of the current Grade 5 to Grade 8 math curriculum
  • Excellent math skills
  • At least two years of experience tutoring math to elementary-age students
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
