Math Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a part-time math teacher/tutor to join our team. As a math teacher/tutor, you will be responsible for teaching and guiding high school students in mathematics, helping them to improve their understanding and skills in the subject.

The Role:

As a math teacher/tutor, you will be working with students in a small group setting, providing individualized attention and support to help them succeed in mathematics. You will be responsible for teaching and guiding students in grades 9-12, at both the applied and academic level.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and guide high school students in mathematics, helping them to improve their understanding and skills in the subject.
  • Work with students in a small group setting, providing individualized attention and support to help them succeed in mathematics.
  • Teach and guide students in grades 9-12, at both the applied and academic level.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring that students are meeting their learning goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field (fourth year university students with tutoring experience will be considered).
  • Ability to dynamically teach math and/or science to students in grades 9-12 at both the applied and academic level.
  • Experience teaching or tutoring high school students.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
  • Ability to guide students' understanding of a variety of concepts.
  • Ability to stay calm and professional at all times.

Job Type: Part-time/Casual

Salary: $20-$21/hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday evenings.
