Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welder - Fabricator to join our team at Linamar Corporation. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating a variety of metal components using various equipment and techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Under supervision, use various equipment for welding and fabricating from print to final product.
- Work from sketches, prints, operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and written/verbal instructions.
- Maintain welding specifications and set up and operate all welding equipment while following all safety protocols.
- Ability to run CNC plasma table would be an asset.
Requirements
- Five years MIG welding experience, related technical competence, and a good understanding of production processes & welding equipment.
- Ability to successfully pass a blueprint reading as well as a weld test.
- Ability to read drawings and to order materials for a project to avoid ordering excess amounts.
- Ability to communicate with tool room staff to ask for tools, supplies, and personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Ability to input data and operate plasma cutting machines and any other computer-controlled equipment.
Credentials
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Post-Secondary training as a welder is preferred.
- Current CWB welding ticket(s) preferred.
