Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fitter to join our team in Guelph. As a Welder - Fitter, you will be responsible for managing large custom projects with minimal supervision, interpreting engineered drawings to fabricate a variety of custom structures, and working safely with all standard tooling and machinery in the fabrication industry.

Responsibilities
  • Manage large custom projects with minimal supervision.
  • Interpret engineered drawings to fabricate a variety of custom structures.
  • Work safely with all standard tooling and machinery in the fabrication industry.
  • Posess a high standard of quality in workmanship and be able to fit to tight tolerances.
  • Work effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Completion of High School/High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CWB Certification and or Trade Certification.
  • At least 3-5 years experience in fitting.
  • Set up and Perform SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, air carbon arc gouging etc.
  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures within the welding industry.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certified Crane Operator or previous experience is a must.
