Job Title: Male Learning Disabilities Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Male Learning Disabilities Support Worker to join our team at Thornbury Community Services. As an 'Outstanding' CQC-rated care provider, we offer a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of physical and emotional stamina. You will be working with a client who has complex needs and requires 24/7 support. We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and is able to work independently as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to our client, including assistance with daily living tasks and medication management.
  • Assist with physical interventions and restraint training as required.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with our client, promoting their independence and autonomy.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 12 months' experience working with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Confidence in performing physical interventions and restraint training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
