Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking a Fabrication Specialist who will be responsible for interpreting schematics and blueprints to fabricate metal parts and structures according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a team player, and eager to learn. This role is crucial in promoting a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and drawings to assemble parts within tolerance
- Operate brake, shear, and saw equipment
- Weld to CWB standards using MIG techniques
- Polish and finish welds to high standards
- Assist with shop projects, including maintenance and fabrication
- Fabricate various jobs and projects according to customer specifications
- Ensure quality control and adhere to GMP guidelines
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product development teams
- Accurately complete daily paperwork and maintain professional conduct
- Adhere to company policies and employment legislation
Requirements
Required Experience and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-4 years of fabrication experience
- MIG welding experience on mild steel
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remove barriers
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to think critically and identify potential issues
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Assets
- Metal Fabricator/Fitter 437A or equivalent certification
- CWB tickets considered a strong asset
