Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team at Advance Millwrights Inc. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, fabricating metal parts and structures, and ensuring high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fabricate metal parts and structures
  • Operate various machinery, including brakes, shears, and saws
  • Weld metal parts together using MIG welding techniques
  • Polish and finish welds to a high standard
  • Assist with shop projects, including maintenance and repairs
  • Fabricate a variety of jobs and projects, including custom metalwork
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure high-quality results
  • Work closely with designers, engineers, and product development teams
  • Accurately complete daily paperwork and reports
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-4 years of fabrication experience
  • MIG welding experience on mild steel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and conditions
