We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at a well-established structural steel fabricator in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for fitting and assembling metal components and structures, ensuring they are accurately aligned and prepared for final welding.
Key Responsibilities:- Fabricate and assemble metal components and structures based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Tack pieces together to secure them in place, ensuring proper alignment for subsequent welding.
- Collaborate with Welders to ensure that fabricated assemblies are correctly prepared for final welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Conduct inspections of fabricated components to ensure quality and correct any alignment issues before welding.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with safety regulations.
- Work effectively with team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Proven experience in metal fabrication and assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience in any industry where fabrication and assembly skills are required.
- Strong understanding of metalworking principles.
- Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
