Job Description

Job Title: Systems Deployment and Management Professional

Job Summary: We require a skilled Systems Deployment and Management Professional to support our enterprise IT operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing our mainframe systems, Unix and Windows servers, and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and manage our mainframe systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  2. Provide operational system updates, apply patches, and address issues related to these tasks.
  3. Implement change requests for mainframe, midrange, and network platforms.
  4. Ensure service level commitments to our clients and stakeholders are met.
  5. Participate in developing and delivering training communications and procedural documentation.
  6. Collaborate with the team to implement departmental initiatives, such as shift left and agile monitoring.
  7. Participate in year-end system audits and semi-annual disaster recovery exercises.

Requirements:

  • 5-8+ years of experience supporting large ZOS mainframe systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Unix and Wintel servers and network peripherals.
  • Experience with incident and change management, including strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of system and application monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of service management tools, such as eSMT, CIT, Remedy, and ITIL.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of communications, collaborations, and analytics tools.
