Job Title: Chief Pilot - Helicopter Operations

We are seeking an experienced Chief Pilot to lead our helicopter operations team at Helicopter Transport Services (Canada) Inc.

Job Summary:

The Chief Pilot will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of our helicopter fleet, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial aviation, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of pilots and ground staff to ensure safe and efficient helicopter operations
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to minimize risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections and ensure that all aircraft are airworthy before departure
  • Monitor and report on aircraft performance, maintenance, and fuel consumption
  • Collaborate with ground crews and air traffic control to coordinate flight activities and ensure smooth operations
  • Provide training and guidance to junior pilots and ground staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant
Requirements:
  • Commercial Pilot Licence - rotors
  • Airline Pilot Transport Licence - rotors
  • Flight instructor ratings - helicopter
  • Top secret clearance
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in commercial aviation
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
