Job Title: Instructional Delivery Manager

At Fortisbc, we're seeking an experienced Instructional Delivery Manager to lead our training team in delivering high-quality training programs to our employees. As a key member of our Learning and Development team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing training initiatives that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of trainers, training coordinators, and learning management administrators to plan and deliver technical and trades training
  • Manage and communicate training requirements, and track and report on training compliance and competency
  • Support the evolution of a high-performing training delivery team aligned to our corporate values
  • Drive the ongoing development of business processes to sustain and enhance the Learning Management System platform
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders to proactively identify future training requirements and develop appropriate training implementation and delivery plans
  • Support the implementation of technology for training delivery
  • Provide professional development opportunities for our full- and part-time trainer pool
  • Make recommendations for improvement of the training portfolio based on ongoing evaluation of offerings
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in a relevant field, plus a minimum of three years of experience leading in an L&D environment
  • Proven leadership skills to foster a supportive team environment and motivate team members to excel at delivering training to internal customers
  • Exceptional organization and strategic-thinking skills, managing programming of training across the Company, including classroom and virtual instructor-led training, eLearning, and blended solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute training schedules to ensure training compliance
  • Experience with learning management systems is an asset
  • Experience in instructional design is an asset
