Northern Health Authority is a leading healthcare provider in Northern BC, serving a population of 300,000. We are seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team.
About the Role
This is a full-time opportunity for a Medical Imaging Specialist to work in our Diagnostic Imaging department. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography and fluoroscopy
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement educational programs for patients and staff
- Maintain accurate records and reports of imaging procedures
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program
- Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and eligible for membership with the BC Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (BCAMRT) and/or CAMRT
- Excellent teaching and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
