Job Purpose:

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging and educational programs for children aged 0-12 years, in accordance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and municipal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curriculum that reflects children's interests and meets their individual needs
  • Plan and lead activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure a smooth transition for children
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education

Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Education degree or diploma
  • Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a childcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
