Job Summary:

The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes supervising staff, assigning duties, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Assign sales staff to duties, taking into account their skills and abilities.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and maintain accurate records.
  • Plan and develop permanent and temporary exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, and retail spaces.
  • Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that all stock is accurately recorded and stored.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Working Conditions:

The Retail Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a high level of customer interaction. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and sales.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

The Retail Store Supervisor will work 40 hours per week, with a regular schedule and occasional overtime as required.
