Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they are adequately trained to perform their tasks.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to meet the needs of the store.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet customer needs.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure efficient store operations.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform management decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Permanent employment with a minimum of 32 to 40 hours per week.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
