The University of British Columbia is seeking a skilled EDI Data Analyst to join the Equity & Inclusion Office (EIO) and Planning and Institutional Research Office (PAIR). This position will work closely with data analysts in PAIR and Strategists in the EIO, maintaining connections with a broad spectrum of data stakeholders at UBC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely, accurate, and meaningful EDI information for senior administrative and academic officers and committees.
  • Plan, design, develop, and implement analytic reports, and statistical information in areas such as employment equity, student experience and demographics, and equitable survey design.
  • Coordinate, conduct, organize, and analyze data, and prepare reports for university stakeholders.
Requirements:

This position requires a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline, with minimum four years of related experience. A Master's degree with an emphasis on social science research and experience working in an environment involving research, analysis, and measurement are preferred.

Candidates must have strong understanding and experience working on issues related to anti-racism, equity, diversity, and inclusion concepts and principles. Previous experience working with survey data, including demographic questions, experiential questions, and analyzing qualitative data, is also desirable.

The successful candidate will be proficient in MS Office Suite and statistical analysis software, with experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting data and proficiency with survey software. Experience working with a wide variety of stakeholders and being comfortable working in diverse cultural contexts is essential.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $70,715 CAD - $101,690 CAD per year, based on a 12-month appointment. The University of British Columbia offers a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, pension plan, and paid time off.
